SELF-COACHING EXPERIMENT: Rebecca's Nepal Mount Everest Trekking Diary 18/19: EPIC MOMENTS

Updated: Apr 23, 2020

Small like ants we feel when we reach Mount Everest Base Camp (5364 m) at the last stage. The mountains and glaciers around us rise majestic to heaven. They form the roof of the earth, the Himalayan mountains with the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8848 m) at its highest peak.

I bow in front of this monumental beauty! We are all taken from this beauty of nature and cannot stop smiling from admiration and amazement. All of the effort and inner fights on our way here have ultimately led us here. And it was worth it!! With a mixture of exhaustion, pride and emotion we hike the last stage together as a strong welded team! At Base Camp, we fall into arms, laugh and cry with joy, make crazy photos and videos and dance salsa with the last bit of air that is left...

An explosion of feelings. I remember the hard moments I thought I couldn't get it to the Base Camp, the moments I was doubting and wanting to give up... And then I thought of my inner picture of the future that I had developed to motivate me to go on and try harder every day. At the picture I saw myself at the target, arrived at Mount Everest Base Camp and embracing and hugging with all my companions.

That's exactly how it happened...!
